Muppet Movie and Five Guys

We loved the last Muppet Movie so much that we couldn't pass up the chance to see the new one in the theater.  We went to the very first showing on Saturday because it is only $5.  The movie was great especially the Tina Fey scenes.
I took a picture of the screen at the end of the movie.
Is that copyright infringement?

Dark theater + crappy phone camera = bad pictures
After the movie, Joe thought it would be fun to get French Fries from Five Guys.  And guess what?  He was right.

My five guys at Five Guys.

Their French Fries are HUGE.
We only ordered one large and it was enough for all of us.
What a fun way to spend a Saturday.

Show And Tell

On Fridays,  Anders has show and tell in his kindergarten class.  Today he decided to bring the dinosaur he got from Santa.  One student asked him where he got it and he told them that the elves made it.

Screech The Falcon

The Zanetti choir sang at the ribbon cutting of a new McDonalds in town.  The place was so packed that we couldn't even see Holden preform.  Screech, the mascot for the local Hockey team (The Springfield Falcons) was also there.  Matthew and Anders were super excited and wanted to take a picture with him.  I am not sure why considering we've never been to a hockey game and I am pretty sure they have no idea what a mascot is.  But when you are 6 and 7 anyone in a cool costume is exciting enough to want to take a picture with.  And when you think they are adoreable no matter what they do, you are wiling to oblige.

Exploring Boston With Daddy

While Holden was practicing for his Honor Choir concert, Matthew and Daddy set out to explore Boston.  If you have been anywhere with Joe you know that means lots of picture taking.  Of course with a model as cute as Matthew, can you blame him?

Here is what they saw:

Cool Street Signs

The USS Constitution

See Through Bridge

Like father, like son

The Freedom Trail

Yummy Food

Awesome Views

When it was time for the concert, Matthew was all worn out from the exploring.

What a great day!

Honor Choir

Holden auditioned for and made the honor choir.   The practice and performance was in Boston.  Holden went with Gail to the practice the first week of March.  The morning of the performance Joe left at 5 am to drive Holden, Gavin, and Aalyia into Boston for the practice an performance.

Here they are all bright eyed and excited for the trip.  Matthew went along to keep Joe company while the kids were practicing.  And practice they did.

Here they are with our director Esther.
I didn't get to go to the performance, but I heard nothing but rave reviews.  Good job Holden.  We are so proud of you for developing your talents.

Hearing Test

Even just getting a hearing checked at an annual check up my Matthew is adorable.  He passed his hearing test with flying colors.  No more excuses about not hearing me when I tell him to make his bed.

Irish Blessings From Our St. Patrick's Day Party

May those who love us, love us.  For those who don't , may God turn their hearts; if He can't turn their hearts, may He turn their ankles so we can recognize them by their limping.

May love surround us.

May we not regret life.

May your berard grow long and your stomache wider.

"Better an ounce of luck than a pound of gold... Scratch that.  A pound of gold is so much better than an ounce of luck.  You'll need luck to find gold.  So it's luck and gold, or just luck.

May you live 100 years, plus one more to repent.

Good food, Good friends, good fun=great blessings!

May home always be sweet.

May we all get a good sleep.

What do you mean Mr.  You don't like green ties?!?

May greatness come to you if you buy my butterbraids.

May we live a good and long life.

May your eyes not deceive you.

Green=something great.

May your beard grow longer and your belly wider.

May you always be strong and have faith.

May we always be protected from teh wickedness of the world.

May your neighbors respect you. Trouble neglect you. The angels protect you. And Heaven accept you.

May all  the good meals in life include me.

May winter be over and snow be gone.

May we all have the luck of the Irish.

May toes always feel the sand.

May we all love each other. Peace on earth.

May a leprechan visit you with candy.

St. Patrick's Day Party

Horray for our annual St. Patrick's Day dinner.  We love that we have this silly tradition to share with our friends that we love so much.
What a cute little leprechaun Zachary is.
That is why he won the  green contest.
Kid table in the basement.
Love all the green.

Teenage table.  This is also where Eli sat.
Do you think that means anything?

Eli and Roci

Joanne and Kevin
Mercedes won the Irish Blessing Contest

All the kids and Bob.

Gail and Joanne

Claude and me.
I only include this goofy picture of me so you can see all my green.

The Elders always serve as our judges.
Bob, Mercedes, and Eli
May the luck of the Irish follow us all year!
(We sure could use it.)

Pi Day

Today is Pi Day!  Get it?  March 14th, 3.14 pi.  And how do you celebrate Pi Day?  By eating pie of course.

Costco happily supplied us with this lovely pie.

Maybe next year I will actually make a pie, since it will be 3.1415

Family Home Evening Activity

We played a card game tonight for our Family Home Evening Activity.  Well, we played and Joe took panoramic pictures with his phone.  Look how unfazed my children are at getting their pictures taken.  By the way, I won.

Imagine Dragon Concert

The day finally came to use the Imagine Dragon concert tickets that Nicholas got for his birthday.  We were very excited.  Nicholas and I drove to Worcester parked and went in.  The opening band was a group called The Naked and Famous.  They were OK, but when you are pumped to see the main band you just want them to hurry up and finish.

Imagine Dragons put on a great show.  Heavy on the percussion and loads of energy.  I forgot my camera in the car so all I had was the lousy camera on my cell phone.  Which explains why these picture are so bad.

Nicholas review of the show:  I really liked it.  They played a lot of good song.  It was over too soon. The parking garage was really full.

Here is Nicholas in the shirt we got at the concert.  It was a part of the whole birthday present package. He loves the shirt and wears every time it is clean.  He looks so grown up.
